After downloading the 3d update on my Playstation 3, I purchased the Mistubishi 3d adapter($99) for the t.v. thinking I could find cheaper 3d glasses than the ones offered with the $400 Mitsubishi 3d Starter Kit. Well, I was wrong---at first. I kicked around for about 3 months looking for glasses and out of desperation, ordered these. And boy, am I glad I did! Easy as pie to install and use, the emitter works GREAT with the glasses. Sure, the glasses look like something out of REVENGE OF THE NERDS, but who the heck cares--they WORK! I watched A CHRISTMAS CAROL 3D BLU-RAY(which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, btw) and the glasses were EXCELLENT!!!! I can't recommend these enough as a CHEAP and EFFECTIVE alternative to the OUTRAGEOUS prices people are charging for glasses these days. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The emitter worked perfectly as did the glasses. The glasses are not the most comfortable and not only do they look odd, but because of the way they are contructed, objects beside you can be distracting if not concentrating and focusing your eyes straight ahead at the screen of the 3d movie. The glasses work correctly, make sure that the emitter and TV setup are compatible on the setup, otherwise the image does not look 3D, best to have the TV on standard and set the emitter to match, if it is reversed, the next 3D movie will change the set. Also, 3D movies with the red and green glasses won't work. The movie must be marked Blu-Ray 3D. Amazon should sell the glasse seperately, once you have it working you will probably want more glasses, they don't list them without the emitter. Most of their glasses are over $100, the 3DTV glasses even with the emitter are cheaper. She needs a bedroom height TV stand since she likes to view TV in bed at times. Most stands are too low in height for that purpose. I had assistance in putting this together, not that you need it. Very simple easy to view instructions and assembly time was quite fast. Nice looking piece of furniture, not expensive looking but it serves the purpose. We opted not to put the glass doors on, didn't think it was necessary, just more work and it looked nice without it. I don't like doors on RTA furniture as they always seem to be off line. I'm getting a 42" Flat Panel LCD TV along with it, and after searching around online and at stores, this was in my opinion the best value. I bought it on a Monday, and even with the slowest shipping option (free shipping), I received it that Thursday! The assembly of this stand is pretty straightforward, and shouldn't take more than an hour. If you get this stand, which I recommend, just make sure to really pay attention to the directions and the orientation of all the pieces, or you'll have to backtrack a few times like I did! Two negatives that I have with it: 1)(Small negative) It's a little low for me. If it were a few inches higher, it would be perfect. But even at its height, it's still fine. 2)(Big negative) Along the same lines...with the way the support bars are designed, the shelves are not tall enough to fit DVD's in upright!! Whats the deal?? You'd think if you were to design a TV... This review is from: Bush Furniture Midnight Mist TV Stand (Kitchen) I ordered the large Midnight Mist TV stand to go with a new plasma TV. The stand arrived a few days before the TV, via UPS. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only were all the glass pieces of the shelf undamaged, but the box itself had gone through the UPS system without gaining any dents or scratches. The stand is fairly simple to put together. I did most of the assembly by myself, but due to the size of the glass shelves, and the method of installation, it is helpful to have a second person assist you. The shelves are secured by suction cups (the "vibration dampening pads" mentioned as a feature) and realigning a shelf means someone on each end detaching the suction cups from the glass one at a time. The stand is the perfect size for my 58" Samsung Plasma, which is just under stand's maximum shelf weight of 145lbs for the top shelf. I only have two real complaints with this stand: 1) as mentioned by another reviewer, the lower... Other stands out there are made for the living room and are only between 20" and 25" -- much too short for me to be able to view over my high bed. This stand is 31" high and solidly constructed of metal and tempered glass. In the description it says it can accomodate a TV up to 37", but my Samsung is 40" and has a small base that fits perfectly on this stand. I searched for about two weeks until I found this product. It suited my needs perfectly, and I would definitely recommend it. Oh, and it's packed really well. All of the parts survived shipping here to New Jersey!
