5.0 out of 5 stars Love these Rollers, puzzled by negative reviews., February 17, 2011

I was shopping for some jumbo hot rollers and ran across this set that I purchased a several months ago. I was curious about the review rating so I read them and am puzzled. I cannot share the same opinion as the negative reviewers. I find that the rollers heat extremely well and retain the heat. In fact, I begin using them when the indicator dot just begins to turn. Once I place the primary four large rollers in my hair I unplug the set to prevent overheating the curlers and causing damage to my hair since hot rollers should not be used everyday and can cause split ends. I have medium thick hair and a lot of it, it's shoulder length, no bangs and this set curls my hair beautifully! In fact, I have curly hair day one, and beautiful fluffy and nicely shaped hair the second day. I love the metal clips, but there is a trick to using them. You must put them in to keep tension on the curler - for instance, you put the clip in from the opposite direction that you rolled your hair... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad at all, October 19, 2011
This review is from: Conair HS34R Compact Hairsetter, Blue (Health and Beauty)
I am one of the few that like these. Yes the curls will not stay with these as well if you don't do a cool shot of air on them before taking the curlers out. Doing a cold shot of air with your hair dryer while these are still in your hair will then set the curls in place and make them not become loose. Some days I like the looser curl look which sometimes looks like a wave, I find it really pretty in my long hair. But just remember you can make these curlers work very well if you just use your blow dryer on them before you are about to take them out and use the cool shot function or put on cool air and blow on your curlers with it till the curlers are no longer warm at all. That should do it! And this allows the curls to last all day!

1.0 out of 5 stars total wast of money, November 12, 2009

I had to rate these at a 1 star because I was unable to leave no stars.
These rollers were a total waste of good money. They stay hot just about long enough to take them off of the rods and get them up to your hair. The plastic rollers lose heat extremely quickly!
