A mild, hypoallergenic lip balm for severely chapped lips. A therapeutic blend of beeswax, petroleum jelly, mineral oil and hydrocortisone.

The dermatologist coulnt help, tablets I took for it didnt help, herbal remedies, allergy tests, traditional cortizone cream - nothing worked! The skin around my mouth got itchy, red, peeling, and swollen. I looked like I had a giant red clown mouth, with cuts at the corners too. It looked so gross, and it hurt too because the itch was terrible. I tried this out of sheer desperation and doubted it would work, cause nothing else did.I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who has suffered the same thing. Its really, really great. My lips healed VERY quickly, within 2 days they were back to normal. I also dont have to use it religiously either. Yeah, it tastes gross, but just dont eat it! I have had this on off since I was about 13. I have tried aquaphor, blistex, carmex, baycuten, beyipher, bepanthen, chapstick, vitamins, I drank tons of water AND NOTHING HELPED!! I got this Friday at 6pm. The druness above my lips burned, itched and I looked like a freak. Also my college semester just started and of course my new classmates looked at me like I have swine flu. Anyways, I put the balm on Friday and today it is Sunday. My lips are about 95% healed already. I seriously cannot believe it. If I ever see this Dr. Dan guy I will kiss him and tell him I love him. I don't know if it was a cold sore or a bacterial infection, as my trip to the doctor yielded no helpful information and my referral to a dermatologist isn't for two months. However, after having been on a prescription for cold sores and using several different over-the-counter medicines for cold sores with no improvement, I decided to use this balm. So far, it seems to be helping, but I just can't get my lips to totally heal. But at least I only look like I have a mild case of chapped lips instead of looking like I have "lepper lips." The taste of this balm is tolerable and it does make my lips feel softer. |
