BIG mistake!! This watch is a Rolex killer. This watch is Swiss made, hand assembled and hand finished. Uses a Ronda 715li movement. The watch is solid stainless steel, and i mean SOLID. The bracelet is held together by screws (same as my rolex). The bracelet is a combination of highly polished, and brushed stainless. Almost every part of this watch is better in quality than my Rolex. The BIG thing with this watch is that it will run for ten years before you need to change the battery. The watch is so well built that you don't have to open it up for ten years. How many watches can say that? This watch uses Superluminova to light it at night. It glows BLUE at night, not green(really neat). The ony problem i have with this watch is the lume. Superluminova is supposed to glow VERY bright. On this watch it is so/so. It may just be my watch but i have this type of lume on other watches and it is brighter. Even with... It is an excellent Value at 230.00 dollars or so but can be fount from 179.00-349.00 on a range of Amazon sellers store fronts.As for the seconds hands not hitting the marks mine does not suffer from this issue. The time keeping is excellent, less than +5 seconds a day off! That is stellar for any time piece. The crown is easy to open and adjust but when seated will keep water out 500 meter depth. The swiss Quartz movement is well recognized and sought after with a general price in other brands from 600.00-3500.00 US. Swiss Made Ronda 715LI Quartz Comes with 5 year warranty, Flame Fusion Crystal, Bezel 47mm out to crown so not Huge and comic looking like others. The size is just right for many to wear. At 47mm across the bezel, one of my smaller watches but if you're not used to wearing 55mm case watches, the 1542 will be substantial.Unidirectional rotating bezel and strong lume, white over black. Part of the Reserve collection means the 1542 is hand and Swiss made. This is a good everyday watch. What I like most about it is its lithium battery, which is supposed to get 10 years; however, my watch maker told me to expect more like 7 or 8. In any event, if you want Rolex styling, long battery life, and reserve build quality at a price of around $150, you can't do wrong with the 1542. |
